Welcome

Creating this blog was an assignment for my Oral Communication class (Engl 517) at Boise State University, taught by Dr. Roger Munger. The class has ended, but I intend to continue to write about my experiences and thoughts as I enter the profession of information design.

I worked in public relations and marketing in the recreation and tourism industries for twenty years before finding my way to public and school libraries. I began studying information design after helping teachers integrate technology in classrooms when I worked as a library paraprofessional.

Currently, I am a candidate for a Masters of Arts in Technical Communications from Boise State University, and plan to have a diploma in hand by December 2012.
